What is the Crime Lab Project? The Crime Lab Project is a group of crime writers and their friends and readers who are concerned about the gap between the public's beliefs about the current state of forensic science and the reality faced by the many underfunded, understaffed labs and coroners' offices throughout the country. We see the lack of support given to labs as a matter that has a growing negative impact on law enforcement, justice, and national security. Here are a few of the authors, producers, and others who are supporting this project. If your favorite authors' names aren't here yet, ask them to contact us by emailing crime @ crimelabproject.com. The Crime Lab Project does not require dues or attendance at meetings. All we ask is that you take action: e-mail your Congressional representatives and/or make others aware of the problem. Let us know what you've done to support crime labs!  We'll have a message board online soon where you can post this kind of information.
